Many years ago, sometime around 2009 in my later years of high school, I purchased my first tablet. It was a Wacom Intuos 3. From there I started to mess around scanning in my pencil drawings and tracing them in PhotoShop. Eventually, I largely stopped sketching traditionally and moved straight into an all-digital painting process. With nearly unlimited undos, what is there to be afraid of? The paintings here are some of my favorites. Although I haven’t really painted in a good 6 or so years, I hope to leave these proudly up as a reminder that I should be doing more of what brings me joy. It used to be something I would hide from my portfolio, but now there’s a dedicated spot for it.
