Photography

Being a self-taught photographer without any formal training has taught me that the only way forward is to experiment, a lot. Many ventures turn into disappointments or failures, others successes. It’s about being brave in entering unknown territories without fear of failure and with a drive to continuously improve and learn. Much of the photography seen here has ended up displayed during award shows, on our social media platforms, email campaigns, the Keeler Brass Company website, printed lookbooks, and PR articles just to name a few.

Anthology Series

The Anthology Series encompasses several high-end solid brass made-to-order designs for a total of over 30,000 unique combinations. We wanted to show the breadth of options as well as some ideal pairings and detail shots.

For the bespoke customer, they may select their choice of bar and post design as well as size, desired finishes and leathers if applicable.

Bijou

Originally shot during the pandemic of 2020 with an at-home DIY rig with a natural light source from a window that I would cover with soft white tissue paper to diffuse. For more info on the project, head over to BIJOU.

Showing Off Our Designers

Overall there’s been a big shift in how I’d hope to influence things with creative for Keeler Brass Company. There’s a need to feature our people more and have them involved. With about an hour’s time, I had gathered our Product Development team and designers for a mini-shoot.

Many of the photos taken during this period would not be fully actualized until months later, when strategically placed “blank” sketchbooks could be post-edited with actual sketches later on. An extensive library of sketches exists from our in-house designers, but we were careful to reveal only go-forward designs publically.

I wanted the photos to tell a story and asked each designer to bring their favorite sketching tools and to dress how they would want to be represented. I helped to guide and style the elements in each photo and prepped our designers beforehand on a brief benchmark of what I’d hope to achieve in the shoot.
